What can I say? From the start to way, way beyond completion of the media campaign for The Logos Prophecy, the team at Literally PR treated me and my novel as though they had no other clients.
I received a NetGalley review inclusion, a blog/review tour, numerous media engagements and exposure good enough to provide that initial push that every book needs to rise above the noise. Needless to say, my publisher, Fire Hornet Codex is very happy with the results. There are a lot of books out there. Being seen can be difficult, if not impossible and Literally PR gave me and my work the necessary push towards visibility and those all-important sales.
I felt totally valued, as though the focus of the whole company had been turned towards my campaign and my needs alone. Given the amazing results that accrued, it was a privileged place to be.
I look forward to a continued relationship with Literally PR – in fact, I signed up to their Vault programme, where I get access to their database of online workshop recordings, digital downloads, and FAQs accrued from all the questions they get asked by authors and publishers.
Thank you, Lit PR.
I’m so pleased that I chose Literary PR to help promote Bloodlines and The Prodigal Son (the 4th and 5th books in my current series). Helen’s team organised a very extensive blog tour for both books which resulted in some excellent reviews, all of which generated extensive interest on various social media platforms. In addition, Literary PR seemed to have a committed expert in just about every sphere of promotional activity which made a huge difference to my marketing strategy.
Having mostly relied on ‘self promotion’ for my first two books, I now realise how much more can be achieved by having a team of professionals behind you and I won’t hesitate to use them again for my next books.
It is much harder to get yourself out there as an independent non-fiction writer and author, so I often rely on book tours to help with that. It is important to me that I can continue to get my brand out and across social media. I came across Literally PR when I was searching for an on-line ‘book tour.’
From the start of my communication with Literally PR, I found their response informed and helpful. After a telephone conversation with Becky, I was sure I’d made the right choice.
My second book is based on spirituality and healing and when I first spoke to Becky about organising a tour for the book, she was honest and upfront about the tour from the beginning on how my book would fit into her review tours.
Until she had spoken to her bloggers, she wasn’t sure about the spirituality element, but was sure she could secure bloggers familiar with the subject. In reviewing a book about my spirituality and healing experiences it was important that I was able to get the best out of the tour, so I sent Becky an e-copy of the book and it was full steam ahead.
I don’t think either of us realised the difficulties of organising a book tour around the King’s Coronation, so we did encounter a few hiccups, but Becky being the consummate professional was regularly on email to help-out. I was kept informed throughout the duration of the 10-day tour and was very pleased with the bloggers’ reviews, which captured the essence of my book.
Since the review tour for ‘Spirituality, Healing and Me’ I have done a second tour with Literally PR, for Survival: The Covid Years and I couldn’t have been more pleased with those reviews too. Thank you to Becky and her team for such a great job.
This book, an account of my thirty-seven year career in the Diplomatic Service, being a diplomatic memoir, was not, I will admit, the easiest book to promote to the general reader (in spite of it being a riveting read!). My publisher therefore called upon the help of Literally PR.
This was a brilliant move. Helen Lewis and her team, with their professionalism and infectious enthusiasm, brought a fresh dynamism to the task from day one. Helen defined the strategy and everyone went to work. There was an online Book Review Tour over a period of weeks, that elicited a number of favourable reviews. The book made its debut on the vital Amazon website, and as an e-book. Rachel Knight coached me on the mysteries of Twitter. Diana Ashlee arranged for me to be interviewed on several BBC regional radio programmes, as well as BBC Scotland, and do some magazine articles. As Christmas approached, Becky Smith placed the book in a number of Christmas Book Guides, making it the indispensable Christmas gift! And the whole operation could be followed in real time on an online Project Tracker.
As a result of all this I am now happy that my book, even if it is not (yet) on the Sunday Times best seller list, is well on the way to achieving the position it merits in the market. And, as far as I am concerned, the team were a delight to work with and it has been a lot of fun!
"Absolutely delighted that we were introduced to Literally PR. There have been a few 'game changers' for us on this journey that have inspired us and sparked a pivot in direction. Literally PR definitely comes under that heading. From our initial online meeting with Helen we knew that we had found someone who 'got' us. Very happy that they organised the online blog tour for our launch and we have also taken advantage of other options from their 'menu' of support as and when it suited our project. We look forward to continuing to work with Literally PR over the next 18 months where we have mapped out a plan for our next project. Helen is very close to the business but the entire team works so cohesively, everything is delivered seamlessly, regardless of who you deal with. I personally liked the use of the project tracker app that allowed me to understand where we were with the project at any given time and remind me of elements that I needed to deliver! My only slight regret is that we didn't discover Literally PR earlier on in our initial project."
"The Literally PR team are a joy to work with: efficient, responsive and always pleasant and professional. While no one can work a complete miracle in our incredibly overcrowded book market, their experience and contacts can help give your book its very best chance of some publicity. I found them especially helpful in setting up a blog tour when my book was launched, which yielded some very positive feedback. If I need such help in the future I would not hesitate to work with Literally PR again."
"LitPR helped me publicise, and even rewrite a few words in my first novel. They have always had a plan to help stretch any pauses in a campaign to keep within budget. I was really impressed with them for getting me interviews on the radio - even the BBC. It was their idea for me to tour my book at military fairs over the summer, one of the biggest sources of sales and fun.
Next time I publish a novel, I shall use them again!"
“I was delighted with the work of Literally PR in supporting my publisher through all PR and sales matters. They were always extremely professional, positive and hardworking.”
"Having used PR in the past in a different business, I knew I had to get the right team on board from day one, and Literally PR did not disappoint. Working your way into a new industry, understanding the processes and the pitfalls is tricky. This a where a top team comes in, and Helen and her crew have the experience and the skilled team members to answer and all your questions. I know I will use them again in the future."
"As a first-time novelist going the indie/self-publishing route, but a traditionally-published non-fiction author in the distant past, I knew from experience that some good PR and marketing is vital. I also knew, from talking recently with indie and already self-published novelists, that ‘DIY’ PR is a shed-load of work, a big learning curve, very time-consuming ... and definitely not my chief skill set! Life had moved on so much since my non-fiction books came out, when any publicity was all just done for me and all I had to do was turn up when told. Today’s social media also meant a whole new field to navigate, just for starters. So when some encouraging feedback from readers inspired me to give my now-out first novel an extra ‘push’, I tried a one-day online course with Literally PR to discover more details about what’s involved these days - and promptly reckoned that my book was far better off in their hands than in mine. Bring on the experts, I decided; had a chat with Helen Lewis and signed up for a season. Helen, Diana, Becky, Rachel, Hollie, and Kay set to with vigour, and rigour, and have been fantastic. I took advantage too of the Zoom sessions, available as part of the package with the members of the Literally PR team, on things that I wanted to understand better even if I was unlikely to master. I still needed to do my own bit too, of course – for instance, providing fun background info for Literally PR to transform into social media campaigns, and writing my replies for Q&A interviews in online magazines, and articles. I would never have found those and many other opportunities, to reach a wider (and for me, new) audience, myself. It’s been a lot of fun too; the Literally PR crowd are really enjoyable to work with. And super-efficient!"
"Self-publishing adult fiction today is very tricky, not least because of the vast number of new titles entering the market.
Nonetheless, I felt that the stories which I and my co-author Natalia Pastukhova have written, merited seeing the light of day.
The Self-Publishing Partnership in Bath, who have published our last three books, only gave their recommendation to Helen Lewis and her Literally PR business for the publicity side. I have a friend who has probed other such agencies – some linked directly to self-publishing concerns – and concluded that they range from total charlatans to folk who go through the motions but with no real conviction or enthusiasm. As someone with a very limited knowledge of both the publishing world and of social media, I feel that Helen’s team work hard, are fully on the ball with what might succeed and are giving our books their enthusiastic and energetic best shot."
"I loved working with LitPR! As a self-published author with a very limited budget, I was initially unsure whether or not I should invest in the marketing of my book. I couldn’t have made a better decision than to work with LitPR! They went above and beyond anything I had imagined from the already very promising package deal they offered me, and I really got the feeling that the team was doing everything they could to make my book a success. Everyone was immensely generous with their time and effort and LitPR was an absolute joy to work with!"
"I contacted LitPR on the recommendation of The Self-publishing Partnership who had published my book. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the PR team. The options available to me were clearly explained and once I had decided on the package that suited my needs and my pocket, I signed the contract. Each member of the team wrote to me individually, introducing themselves and explaining their particular role in the company. This instantly engendered a feeling of mutual trust, and subsequent developments showed how genuinely interested the team was in getting the best outcome for me as an author. They definitely took me under their wing, and there followed lots of correspondence and exchange of ideas. Soon their contacts within the media began to pay dividends and I found myself writing articles for magazines and most recently an interview with local radio which gave a great airing to the book. I always felt that I could contact the team at any time and get an almost immediate response. It was a very warm, shared experience, in every way encouraging, and even though I never actually met members of the team, I felt I had come to know them personally. My strong impression was that every member of the team was as delighted with each positive outcome as I was myself. They have without doubt set my book on the road to further successes and , from my experience, I could not recommend them more highly."
"Literally PR came as a recommendation from an established author who had the pleasure of working with Helen and the team a few years ago; a personal recommendation seemed very important as there's a lot of PR support out there and I'd heard frequent stories of authors who feel they didn't get what they needed/paid for. I was therefore delighted that Helen and the team were as good as I'd hoped. Their service was clear, insightful, supportive and personal. As a social media novice Literally PR gave me the confidence, skills and content ideas to push myself as a 'brand' and reach readers in ways I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. They helped me run a successful writing competition with schools, supported my book launch event and were always there when I needed a steer. Their bespoke approach to supporting authors was welcome and I would certainly pass the recommendation on to other indie authors."
"Thank you Diana, Helen Lewis and the rest of the team at Literally PR. You’re all a pleasure to work with and a formidable collection of talent with unending buckets of wisdom. Helen, you and the team always have the answer!"
"As a newbie to self-publishing with a series of novels and a tiny budget, Literally PR were absolutely, beyond brilliant. The whole team are fantastic, and you feel truly welcomed into their family. What I most respected was Helen’s honesty in what we could achieve from my tiny budget. She was wonderfully patient while we kicked a lot of things around and settled on an approach; and I really respected their honesty and transparency in what we could achieve. That went such a long way with me, when so many other agencies just plug the same approach and are very hands off. The team at Lit PR are truly fantastic; Rachel held my hand as I toddled through learning social media like a small child, Diana was fantastic in getting the books out there, setting up interviews on the radio and helping me prepare and Kay, Hollie and Becky were superb in managing my book tours and everything else that goes with it! My only wish is that I had found them so much sooner! I cannot recommend this crew of lovely ladies enough and highly recommend them to anyone starting the challenging journey of trying to get a book ‘out there.’ They are a wonderfully safe pair of hands to guide you through the whole process."
"It was the right decision using Literally PR to promote my latest cookbook Curry Compendium. They stepped in at quite short notice and inspired confidence from the start. Not having used a PR company before I didn't know what to expect but the packages offered by LPR were clearly defined and explained. During the six month campaign LPR organised several live radio interviews, conducted a successful online book tour, and even got my recipes featured in the national Metro newspaper, and several smaller publications. Throughout the campaign I was in regular contact with Helen Lewis and her very capable team, also benefiting from many hours of meetings over Zoom with them covering all aspects such as social media and marketing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Literally PR."
"Getting to know the publishing industry takes a lifetime, and as a fresh author, there's no way I can learn enough to take any sort of advantage of the market. That's where Literally PR came in and saved me. They have extensive knowledge of the book industry, and they happily share it with you, and help you, so that you can get your book in front of readers in the best ways possible. They work hard and take all projects seriously, as I can clearly see on their social media. Their blog tours are amazing, and from the responses I got from bloggers, Literally PR want to place it in front of people they think will actually like your book - not just 'anyone who wants it.' It's been an amazing experience and worth its weight in gold."
"I was put in touch with Literally PR by my publisher, and it was the very best thing he could have done for me. As a new author, I had no idea at all about how to publicise my book, and to bring it to the attention of the literary and readership worlds. Helen and her team took me in hand, explained the process, educated me, and sorted the whole process out with charm, efficiency and great skill. I could not have asked for a better and more effective service from them, and would strongly recommend them to anyone needing real expertise in publicising a new book."
"It is not coincidence that I have continued to work with LiterallyPR since I was introduced to them as a debut author. I am now on my third book with them and the service and expertise is as strong as ever. In fact, the team have got to know me, which means they work both proactively on my behalf as well as thinking of me when opportunities come their way.
They just 'get' me and that is, for me, the mark of a great PR company.
I recommend Helen and her team to anyone who asks me about writing/publishing a book - and frequently to people who don't ask!
I look forward to many years of collaborating with this fantastic team."
"In the past, I relied on publishers of my various books to undertake the required promotion, publicity and marketing. But my new book, a memoir of my life and work (from the War to the Virus), required more. Unlike many oldies who were producing their memoirs during the Covid-19 'lockdown', I am no celebrity, and an autobiography by a relative nonentity would need help if anyone was likely to buy it. I was put in touch with Helen Lewis and her company, Literally Public Relations ('LitPR'). And I have never regretted it since.
More than that, I have been really impressed by all that Helen and her colleagues have done for me and the book. Impeccably professional from the outset, yet personally warm and encouraging, they made countless useful contacts on my behalf to a huge range of potentially interested parties, and the result has been a great deal of publicity, much of it (but by no means all) online where the impact these days is greatest: interviews, broadcasts, reviews, Zoom events and countless tweets. My profound thanks, and warmest personal regards, to all at LitPR!"
"I commissioned LitPR to support me with my first venture into book PR for The Really Resilient Guide. I didn't have the skills, capacity or contacts to do my own PR. The work that Helen and her team have done has been a really great foundation for me and I can build on it in the coming months. What I especially found useful was the super positive book review tour, magazine book coverage, pics, the tips on how to make use of the PR and Helen’s swift response to messages and queries.
The whole experience has been a good investment (as well as a big learning curve - writing articles regularly, managing the socials). I’m hopeful that the PR coverage will convert to new work and new contacts, and this first stage with Helen’s team has been fundamental."
“We only had one shot at trying to achieve successful PR surrounding the launch of Dennis Nilsen’s autobiography – a controversial and highly sensitive topic, to say the very least. We asked Literally PR to, not only, try to solicit interest from the serious press but also to guide them towards the ‘story’ being centred around Dennis Nilsen and not his friend and editor of his memoirs. A big ask, so we thought.
"Literally PR managed to place the first article ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE SUNDAY TIMES!
"The piece not only subliminally promoted the book but delivered a serious and highly intelligent piece that set the benchmark and the tone across the whole of the print and online media from thereafter. A staggering achievement that we never – in our wildest dreams – thought would have been possible. To cater for the tabloids, Literally PR achieved full-page coverage of very well-balanced pieces, all of which promoted the book. The same was achieved across many online media titles. They even managed to solicit around 200 honest reviews of the book, which further set the tone for the book.
"Helen and Diana, who headed up this project, are the most likeable and approachable people – on a professional and personal level – and they reassured us of their confidence in being able to deliver on their promises. They excelled and our one-shot at promoting this autobiography has resulted in it being accepted as a mainstream, intelligent and important memoir, something that we could never have achieved without their help. The ‘story’ – without their direction and management – could, so easily, have gone the wrong way.
"Outstanding is too trivial a word to describe the results they achieved. Three months in, and stocks of our second run of another ten thousand copies are already dwindling. And that success is down to Literally PR.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
“Having my first book published was a complete new territory for me and quite a nerve-wracking one! Literally PR helped me through the whole process and got the word out! Thank you so much.”
My parenting journal of my twins became my first book, and I was pretty nervous about the whole thing but with the help of Literally PR they put me at ease making the process smooth sailing. They were really supportive from beginning to end which is what you need if you’re new to this industry like me. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thank you so much!
"Literally PR worked on the PR for the launch of my book in January 2021. Right for my first call with Helen I was really impressed with her expertise and energy - especially her ability to break down the jargon and what needed to be done into ways that made it feel really manageable for a debut author! Then she introduced me to the rest of her team; I’ve found them to be knowledgeable, supportive and very communicative - I always knew what was going on and that I could ask questions at any time. Literally PR got me some fantastic PR coverage with national TV, newspapers and magazines as well as regional radio. It was coverage beyond what I could have hoped for. I have signed up to continuing to work with then because it has been so beneficial. I would highly recommend LiterallyPR. Five stars out of five!"
“We have worked with Literally PR for a number of years and each time I have been impressed with the dedication of Helen and her team, their attention to detail, and the personal, tailored service we have received. Helen always goes beyond what we expect and I hope to work with Literally PR for many years to come.”
"Helen Lewis at Literally PR knows how to launch a book. Imagine my surprise when the day after the publication of Knit and Nibble Helen had myself and Dr Thomas Ernst on Sky News. Helen worked with us strategically to ensure a mix of mass media and authoritative media to capitalise interest, sales and gain listings."
“I’d no idea how to promote my first book Where’s Sailor Jack? until my editor said he’d heard good things about Literally PR. He was right: they did a super job in the launch and in getting both press and radio coverage. They are friendly and very approachable. I also used them for my second novel No Precedent and if I ever finish the third The Dove is Dead (they don’t have a cure for writer’s block or author slothfulness unfortunately) it will be them again. From talking to other authors, I don’t think there’s anybody doing it better.”
"A little note from the bottom of my heart to thank you for all the great publicity work you did on my new book in very difficult; 'Covid shutdown times' when the rule book for the way one does publicity was therefore radically changing. I felt you adjusted marvellously and I was aware at all times of your conscientiousness. Yes, Helen, I felt you went all the way all the time over the course of a four month relationship that I immensely enjoyed - and this included you sometimes pushing me to write articles at the last moment.
"I fully understand why you have won so many prizes. You put a huge amount of heart and soul into your work, and, most important, you know how to achieve results. I am so grateful that through you, my little book has been able to reach hundreds of people who otherwise would have had no clue as to its existence. Thank you once more."
"Literally PR is the BEST PR team. Not only are they professional, creative and hard-working, they will always go the extra mile and I love them for it. I've been working with them since 2013 and they have literally (see what I did there) helped my career to go from strength to strength! Book them!!!"
"It’s hard for small businesses like ours at Eclipse Publishing & Media to get the message out there and secure exposure with well-known media outlets. So we are very grateful to Helen Lewis and her dream team at Literally PR, in bridging this gap to secure publicity in numerous media outlets, through their extensive list of PR contacts.
Literally PR is a very professional, ambitious and friendly agency. They are exceptionally good at what they do and are well respected in the publishing industry. We would be more than happy to team up with Literally PR again and recommend their services to other publishers and authors.
Thank you Helen!"
"When I was first introduced to Helen Lewis, I was instantly connected to this amazing woman. Knowing literally nothing about the PR world, as this was the first book I had ever written, I didn’t know what to expect. She was so enthusiastic about the work we would be doing from day 1, so much so that I couldn’t believe someone thought that highly of me and my work. It was so frightening of an experience for me but Helen and her team held my hand for the entire time. They were able to arrange all of the best events and coverage, and even a potential book deal should I write a second book. It was truly a collaborative effort. So much love to Helen and the team at Literally PR.
"I always refer to Helen as my guardian angel. I call her that because I know she has my back. After a very successful PR campaign for my first book, she stayed on determined to assist me in getting a second book deal. She successfully accomplished that and once again, started a PR campaign that can only be described as EPIC. This time, I was able to work with her entire team. Wow, what a gang of professionals who really know their stuff. The book launch for my SECOND book (a book I had no intention of writing if it hadn’t been for Helen’s love and encouragement) was such a success. We even had a finalist for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Cheryl Hole, host the event. For me, it was my Oscar winning night and I owe it all to the amazing team at Literally PR."
"I have had simply wonderful support from a Helen Lewis and LiterallyPR for my debut novel 'Awakening of Spies'. Throughout she has been professional, responsive and enthusiastic and has delivered far more than I expected."
“Helen and her team organised a really wonderful schools tour for the launch of our third Tigeropolis title. The results speak for themselves - 700 books sold and hundreds of happy children who all now know more about tigers and conservation."
"I’m so pleased I chose Literally PR as my book publicist! Helen has helped me with two book launches this year. Both books have received prime publicity in national and business press, lifestyle magazines, on-line media and I’ve had many radio and audio interviews. This was what I was hoping for when I chose Literally PR. What I hadn’t anticipated was how much Helen would do over and beyond this.
"Helen works hard to get to know you as a person and goes beyond just the basics of publicising your book to the media. I’ve had advice on using social media that works! I’ve had advice on ways that I can also promote my book which I’m sure resulted in me becoming an Amazon best-seller. Most of all though, Helen recognises potential and I’ve been fortunate that she’s taken my books and concepts out to book fairs and the book world with energy and as much passion as I have for my topic. I’m delighted that this is already generating interest. I’m really excited at the thought of what 2018 might bring for me and I know Helen will be playing a big part in this.
"And if all this isn’t enough. Helen is always so cheerful and positive. It’s a pleasure to work with her."
"When I first met Helen Lewis a few years ago I was immediately impressed by her vibrant, energetic personality. A warm person with a welcome drive to promote her client with a wonderful sense of humour and determination to achieve the best P R results for my future work. Soon after we met I was on Radio 5 Live and BBC radio, chatting about swimming with Churchill to promote my book, 'Lotte's War'. A few weeks later I had a full page interview with the Daily Express.
Helen seems to have broad access to the media and contacts in the most unexpected places. Last year, she arranged a Book Week tour around Kent schools where I read and sold many books during the whirlwind visits She has helped me get two books published and is in the process of finding a publisher for my first novel 'In The Fast Lane', which is remarkable for an 82 year old.
I was very impressed and excited to be one of Helen's clients when she represented me at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Anyone who joins Helen's Literally Public Relations Ltd. is fortunate to have such a dedicated agent in this day of tough competition. Publicity is vital to the author and Helen is brilliant in selling her clients to the media and finding a publisher to fulfil a writer's dream."
Theo Michaels, author of Microwave Mug Meals (2016), Microwave Mug Soups (2017) both by Lorenz Books, a new book in the pipeline, and international man of mystery…
“I've worked with Helen for a couple of years now. After the success and exceptional media coverage that Helen and her team secured for my first book launch I knew I had to have Helen work her magic a second time for the launch of the second book. Since then, Helen has worked closely with me in formulating a new concept for my third book, which she ultimately secured a literally agent to represent and I’m pleased to say is now a live project.
Since our first conversation (“Helen – get me a book deal, TV show and a reputation for being an international man of mystery”) a year later Helen achieved two of those objectives (I’ve parked the international man of mystery goal for the time being…or have I?). With guest appearances on ITV This Morning, a weekly column in Best Magazine and my third book now in production Helen has become my go-to person.
At whatever stage of your authoring career you may be, there is one thing that is vital to success – the people you surround yourself with. Helen is my publicist, confident, sanity sounding board, career coach and ultimately; the person who gets stuff done.
Helen is inspirational and creative, persistent and rational, incredibly well connected backed with over 16 years of being in the industry. I recommend Helen Lewis to anyone looking for an honest, helpful and proactive person to help build a successful author career.”
"Working with Literally PR has been seamless, Helen and her team’s professionalism and commitment to every detail is second to none. They have gone over and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was given as much visibly as possible, but their human and heart-centred approach was what stuck out for me. They got me heaps of press coverage I couldn’t get myself, not only was I pleased but they are going to be part of my brand for a long time."
"Literally PR are literally amazing and a dream to work with. They not only secured me a school tour in over 10 schools for World Book Day, but provided incredible support throughout the organisational process. I would not hesitate to recommend Helen and her team to other authors seeking to increase their exposure via school visits."
"Helen did a social media campaign for my Emily Knight Warriors Pop Up blog Rose. She took over my account for a few weeks and doubled my followers! It also led to interviews. Rose was a huge success and had loads of hits. I can't wait for Helen to work her magic again!"
"I am writing to tell you how very happy I have been about Helen Lewis’ work. She has found so many venues for me to give expert opinions on. I hope that because of her efforts, my name will become a household name in England."
"Nothing prepared me for writing my first book. Finding my voice, coping with days when no words flowed, just streams of tears. The keyboard is a lonely old place, add in niggling self-doubt and the-buck-stops-with-you feeling and it's easy to free fall into blind panic, as the deadline looms. What got me through this journey was the support and reassurance from Helen and her team at LiterallyPR, they believed in me, in my story, in my ability and guided me with sensitivity and care. The LiterallyPR machine is mighty and that is down to hard work, determination and grit. What continues to impress me is their work ethic and genuine love of this industry. I couldn't be in better hands."
"Literally PR, under the guardianship of Helen, has taken to the task of handling the PR for my book 'The Warm Up' with so much gusto and professionalism that she was able to open many doors and the result of all her effort and hard work means that for the future I need not look any further."
"Helen and her team have worked on several projects for Free Association Books. Their dedicated team works hard on each individual book and I have always felt like I was getting a professional service with the right publicity at the right time and, quite importantly, at the right price. I look forward to working with Literally PR in the future."
"I cannot quite believe the speed at which Helen works. She hit the ground running from our initial chat and she managed to acquire us article placement and interviews within weeks! Helen is personable, profession and very easy to work with."
"One of Literally PR's great virtues is that they react immediately to comments or suggestions. Email replies like 'Great idea, I think you're on to something, we'll get a press release out today', give an author a nice warm glow."
"In a world where businesses become increasingly impersonal, LiterallyPR is the equivalent of a refreshing oasis in the desert. This wonderful, dedicated team is approachable. With them it's not just about numbers. There is soul as well. LiterallyPR will take care of your book as if it were their own."
"Meeting Helen was like finding a champion and motivator for my work all wrapped up in a new and knowledgeable friend. Enthusiastic, friendly and interested I feel my future is safely held in a professional's arms."
"I first met Helen at the Self-Publishing Conference in May 2015 and her passion and enthusiasm for the industry inspired me. I was close to finishing my memoir so I decided to get in touch with Helen and I’m delighted that I did. She’s arranged some amazing coverage for my memoir, “Does it wet the bed?” and I believe this has helped me to build a firm platform for when I release my next book. Helen and her team were approachable, professional and I’m pleased to now count them as friends! Helen was always on hand to offer advice and support, helping to build my confidence in a world which was totally alien to me."
"I have learned so much from Literally PR since self-publishing my novel 'Flight of the Kingfisher'. I made a mistake in not contacting Helen much, MUCH sooner in the process, but she was still able to make wonderful things happen for me. A two-page article in the Daily Mail was quite a coup, and really boosted my sales. With Helen's expert guidance I know that the launch of my next novel will be an even better experience."
"I've found Helen enthusiastic and inventive, with many resources. Scrupulous documentation of all the calls made on your behalf and dedicated follow-through of nibbles and contacts. She's really on the wavelength of writers. No bullshit, no smarm. Intense pursuit of your interests. I trust her. She took me on when my novel had been out for a couple of years but has been able to get interviews and interviews, including Women's Hour. I wish I'd had her from the word go!"
"I was (and continue to be) extremely impressed with Helen's work. Within the first couple of weeks she had managed to get me on three BBC radio shows (including BBC London, interviewed by Vanessa Feltz) as well as a special feature on BBC TV (not to mention numerous newspaper and magazine articles).
None of this would have been possible without Helen's experience, knowledge and extensive list of contacts."
"Your work has been phenomenal. Your energy has been huge, and you have got super results. I could not be more delighted. It has been a complete pleasure working with your firm. My heartfelt thanks for your skill and enthusiasm."
"Pleased is an understatement. I am thrilled. I very much appreciated your hard work, Helen!"
“I have worked with Helen Lewis on a number of editorial and competition pieces relating to books and have always found her extremely helpful and efficient. We have developed a good working relationship and I look forward to working with her again in the future.”
"Helen has succeeded in getting publicity for my book where I, an experienced publisher, failed. In response to her first email shot, we have features lined up in two sailing magazines. She is competent, professional, writes well (very important!) and has prepared excellent PR blurbs for me. She is in constant communication and replies to my emails! I look forward to working with her in the future."
"Helen has been working on my book PR for Heels of Steel for the past five months. Over this period she has consistently delivered on time and to the highest quality. I have received above and beyond the service I expected and I would have no hesitation in recommending Helen and her company Literally PR."
"On point specialist with broad detailed knowledge and experience. Personable, trustworthy, reliable, attention to detail and accuracy. Fantastic results and advice. There is none better. Highly recommended without any hesitation and I will use Helen's expertise and services again without hesitation."
"I'm really impressed by your efficiency and effectiveness. Helen circulated a press release for my 'Glorious Greens' cooking class and this resulted in a firm booking the same day. It's an incredible resource."
"I regularly scour (Literally PR's sister site) food&drink towers for news that can be used in my articles. It's a great source of information and an excellent site for bringing together food news from many different places. I'd recommend it to any PRs looking to reach journalists - many of us check the site regularly!"
"We have used food&drink towers for various press releases. We always get an excellent response and have made lots of new press contacts. For a small company like us who don't have large marketing budgets, this service is a cost effective way of reaching new journalists and food writers, and in turn new audiences. I would highly recommend food&drink towers. Their New Trends report is also a useful resource."
"Helen was an invaluable PR advisor in the run up to the launch of my book and was integral in my being interviewed by Radio 4 Women's Hour, the week after my launch."
"Helen is well worth the investment and you get the sense that she is firmly on your side, as well as business savvy and aware that you need your money to stretch as far as possible in the current climate. I would highly recommend her and am willing to speak to anyone who is considering her for their PR."
"Within two minutes of my receiving our emailed press release from you concerning the launch of the American artisan cheese collection by The Artisan Cheese Exchange at The World Cheese Awards, the phone started to ring. First call was from the dairy sector desk at The Grocer resulting in his researching and writing a piece the next working day for the next issue. Great result, bang on target: retailers first, consumers next."
"Your last effort for us gained us interest from WGSN.com who are pretty big fish, report on trends in the market and products gaining traction. One of their journalists is coming to the Celtic Cook Off itself and to meet our artisan food producers, excellent result!"
"Helen now provides me with regular monthly PR support for my book and executive coaching business. She provides strategic ideas and focus, manages the creation and distribution of press releases, and chases leads."
"I am constantly being asked who does my PR, because people say that I am everywhere! I've been commissioned to write pieces for targeted business magazines (which I wanted) and have been interviewed and commissioned by national publications including Women's Weekly, Your Wellness and Glamour in recent weeks."
"I worked with Helen on the launch of my debut novel, When the Siren Calls. She is hard working, creative and innovative and delivers results above and beyond expectations. If you need a book publicist or someone to organise a marketing campaign or product launch, then Helen is the first person to consider."
